Overview

Caliper consists of a suite of tools and a website (https://www.fao.org/statistics/caliper/web/) serving as the entry point to all of them. The website is hosted and maintained by FAO (CSI) and content is managed with Sitefinity. The website is static and contains links to tools serving the functionalities associated to Caliper and hosted at the University of Tor Vergata (from now on, UNITOV), and a Download page offering files stored in the GoogleCloud space of the datalab. Tools hosted there are accessible from an fao.org address, redirected to uniroma2.it address.

UNITOV takes care of the maintenance of server and tools and, with  troubleshooting, software upgrade, backup, oversee of dataflow (e.g., update of Fuseki with data from VocBench, see below).

Tor Vergata also still maintains the very first instances of Caliper developed during the first phase of the Cross-cutting grant, still accessible from a “uniroma2.it” URL, currently used for tests.
